You can sunbathe on the patio, while the children are entertained  in the specially designed  play area, or if you feel more energetic, perhaps take a stroll around the 10 acres of garden and farmland to see the chickens and other animals. The newly updated games room is a favourite with all our visitors, young and old alike; you can try your hand at table tennis, darts, air hockey or pool..

Of course, Bodmin Moor is all around Mount Pleasant. You can walk out of the grounds directly on to the Moor, or just a short drive away you can visit the famous landmarks, including Roughtor and Brown Willy, the highest point on the Moor, as well as The Cheesewring and the historic mining relics around Minions.
A short drive from Mount Pleasant is the amazing Eden Project, home to the world’s largest greenhouses. Currently there are two conservatories, one a majestic rainforest cathedral; The Humid Tropics Biome, the other host to the fruits, plants and flowers of the Mediterranean type regions; The Warm Temperate Biome. They form a majestic backdrop to the Outdoor Landscape; interlocking terraces telling the story of plants that have changed the world, started wars, halted epidemics, inspired artists, clothed, fed and sheltered us and which might be crucial to our future.
Garden lovers can visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock, or many others nearby. Walkers can follow the coastal path, circular routes, the Copper Trail or the Saints Way or stroll in Cardinham Woods. Cyclists can pedal the 17 miles of car free Camel Trail to Padstow and everyone loves the spectacular coastline with Land's End, Newquay, Looe, Polperro, Tintagel and St. Ives all within a days outing.
